and it looks wonderful!y Inviting.. LOL, from a composition point of view, I will be critical. It all invites, BUT the door is closed and we can not come in. Open the door a crack and let the warmth flow out and let us know that we have to but touch the door and it will open and we can share the warmth and happiness that is YOU and YOURS.minniev wrote: ↑Sun Dec 19, 2021 9:43 pm Week 51 - "Bows and Flows"
I am not sure what the theme even means but I know what a bow is and I have one on the door. It is an old raggedy bow, attached to a live wreath I got at Walmart after a diligent but failed search turned up only artificial ones. Walmart! I'd never have thought they'd have what the Christmas tree farm and the garden centers didn't have. On this affair is also a small stuffed bird with real feathers that was an ornament on a little tree given to me as a child.
So I ran this thing through a Topaz filter with that crazy wire and electric stuff, which I'd never found any use for. But hey, they do cool things to wreaths! So I masked everything else out and painted with mixer brushes till it looked interesting, and here it is.

Thanks! Live just means it was once part of a tree... Most wreaths I've seen this year are artificial.

Thanks Piet. I think that's a great idea about having the door slightly ajar.PietFrancke wrote: ↑Thu Dec 23, 2021 11:51 pm
