Eagle's Perch - a sense of place

Post by PietFrancke »

named by the previous owner, but indeed, we saw an eagle fly above the trees across the shore line today - it was Fast!

We are surrounded by boxes, last Pod will arrive on Monday - we are beat.

Some shots - will need to learn how to edit landscapes.

Looking west across Tenney Cove towards Board Point island from bedroom balcony this morning, at close to high tide.

And a couple of shots this evening at near low tide from the same place - Elsa skirted inland here, but we expect some fragments of the storm this evening into morning - has been a foggy/rainy day.

yes, a whole new world for us - the difference in elevation here between high tide and low tide is 12 1/2 feet..

Maine is most beautiful in fog and rain. I rode out a hurricane on Monhegan once, and it was glorious fun for me though not for the lobsterman who had their season delayed two days. Entirely different than the hurricanes in the gulf region.

I suspect there are fairy houses in those woods. Step carefully..

Can hardly imagine the great anticipation of future exploration you must be experiencing!
All looks wonderful.

I tread slowly and carefully - (my ankle is swollen from beating it up too much).
