Im still pretty handicapped so a theme of "weeds made beautiful" doesn't really fit. The weeds fit, but I'm not seeing much beauty so this isn't very pretty but it is weeds.
I like them..if I was to print and frame I might clone out the bit of white out of focus background in the center of the center weed.
Thanks. And I definitely agree about the little OOF light background!
I won't try to print anything besides Jurassic park composites until I get better. I can't get close to the monitor (have to sit ramrod straight, more than an arms length from computer screen, so there is no telling what kinds of messes I'm making overlooking).

I fell behind. Both in recovery and in this project. I am not using the camera much, have tried a time or two but it isn't working yet, and I'm not really able to get around much at all. Surgeon is not sure why I'm still in such bad shape but it is what it is.
Blue Hour
I created this one with two photos (bird is added), a lot of brushwork, toning, and textures.

Well here's where I learned that people with canes struggle with cameras. I had no pretty flowers this year due to weather conditions and my own problems, so I took a picture of the Ugly Things and made them into a scrapbook page.

There is nothing cold in Mississippi except the ice in the freezer. So I thought of the coldest picture I'd ever taken and this is it. I was taking photos of another photographer on the coast of Iceland and I fell in the sea amid the icebergs. My husband dragged me out of it, and I took this one to be sure the camera was working. Then I went to change. I went a little crazy with this one because I'm frustrated and have to do strange stuff.

I like your treatment of all four...each their own uniqueness of presentation. Well done glad to see you sticking with it. As I'm partial to people "Friends" wins out for me.

I know you are a people guy! I miss seeing your pix of the grandkids. I know they are all so grown up, just like mine. Post some to catch me up!

Reflections - Iphone shot of Chicago skyline - reflections in the skyscrapers.
Last week I took my first trip since I ruined my hip last fall and ended up getting a robotic one in May. I did better than I expected, was able to hobble about Chicago with my cane. We did two museums, three ball games, a boat tour and a dunes hike, so I was pretty proud of myself. BUT - I cannot use the camera yet, unless I am seated on chair or bench, so my photos are boring. I can't manage cane + camera. I'm trying, and have another trip that will involve more photography in a couple of weeks. I have to relearn everything, and differently...
