Finally dusted off the camera and took some shots.

One of my daughter's BFF's from high school got married last week, so I broke out the camera and took some shots. Here are some of 'em.

Nice set! Now that you have dusted of the camera I hope you don't let the dust settle before we see you here again. Might be a long time before another wedding is in the works.

Thanks Martha.

I've been on a reading kick, going thru several books a week. I keep intending to pick up the camera and go out, but the heat outside and AC inside keeps changing my mind.

Nice set that I am sure the couple will appreciate. You were able to isolate small groups and larger ones so that the pictures are cohesive and easy to look at. What a wonderfully and creatively cluttered setting they had for themselves! I love it.

Now that you brought the camera out, keep it out! There is always something to take a picture of, even if we are housebound as I am now. Creativity will find a way!

Thanks. It was a fun little casual wedding. It was so refreshing to see a bride so relaxed, one who could laugh at her mistakes and who didn't stress at all during the event.

I've been finding it difficult to get motivated to take the cameras out. With my daughter graduated and off at college, I've lost her and her classmates as my favorite subjects. I've turned into a bit of a hermit. Once I make it back home to the apartment from work, I don't have the desire to leave.

We all have our periods of low motivation, for various reasons. I know I've had my moments, and other friends on this forum have too. That may be a topic worth discussing with some honesty here, among trusted friends. I admire Matt's 52 Project, a guaranteed defense against the photography doldrums. Projects can help motivate us - self-assignments of various sorts, participation in a group challenge.

We can help each other out in these times!!

Tom, I love #4 in the second set. It looks like someone said something to bring things to a halt. Could serve for a caption contest.
These are treasures for the kids. A very natural and unpretentious wedding; they seem very comfortable with each other, mature for their age, and easy in the thought of their life ahead. Very nicely done. Matt

Fun little casual weddings are THE best kind!! I am grinning so much my smile hurts! Terrific stuff, wonderful people! Great job, and I am telling you that from the perspective of a guy who shot some 800 weddings. :thanks:

(I prefer to present pictures in albums because I can put them in specific order.)

All the great photographers use cameras! No, really. :|
