Movin' on Up'

Post by davechinn » Tue Jun 25, 2019 6:33 pm

A note from Sharon ... since it was an idea of hers ... that I agreed on, I suppose that is the reason I have been on the back burner lately.

"I've been nudging Dave for 2-3 years with the idea we need to move to a one level home before we get too old to handle a move, and now we're finally going forward with it. Signed a contract on a lot and will have a new house on it in 6-8 months - hopefully the latter putting us into next spring. What a nerve-wracking process for the two of us who tend to over-analyze everything and worry about every detail"."Thank you Katrina Louise from The Scarlett Group - Keller-Williams Realty for dragging us around like House Hunters to every potential existing ranch before suggesting we think about building new after we shot each one down and missed out by a few hours on the one we really loved because we were over-analyzing whether to move 9 miles away... lol"!

Looks like a great lot! Seems like everyone has more sense than me, is downsizing and such, while I am acquiring another house to take care of...

Congrats. If you're working with a trusted contractor just worry about the bold strokes. Let him worry about the details. That's what he's there for.

Be sure to share more pictures as the project progresses. Lots of photo ops of workmen!

I do believe this lot will work Minnie. It took Sharon 3 years to convince me, but I really think the fall I took at the Cincinnati Reds' opening day parade was the straw that broke my back.
