thanks Frank and Min, Here is further play going in the Artism direction.. The sideways puddle is kind of stupid, but the painterly effect on the bird is kind of nice.. I always have a hard time (mentally) getting rid of detail, but if you get rid of detail sometimes things get stronger.

Looks like he just punched a hole in Time. Very creative. Good winter-work.

Oh my goodness, Piet that one's a beauty. Did you print it yet? You must, if you haven't. The colors are so rich. It has the darkness you love, but its a soothing kind of darkness.

some recent shots in my front yard. The green heron used to be very spooky, but as of late he likes this particular perch and doesn't mind if I walk up and take some shots. The Snowy Egret also seemed fearless. My big disappointment was this mornings visit of mother fox and her kitten. I shot it (and a bunch more) through the window, but am sorry that I didn't step outside and try to do it from the porch.

yep, normally wouldn't have even posted it, but the subject matter is awesome... missed opportunity due to panic on my part - needed to step outside and I would then have had a better chance. Life must be rough for them, I saw only the one kitten - so I assume the rest didn't make it. Mom was very tender with the kitten.
