Church in the Bend of the Road

Post by minniev »

I liked the simple lines of this church in the fresh snow with the yellow aspen. All ideas appreciated.

Tree is too overpowering in this one for me minniev...I like the yellow and blue though...this might be a candidate for a horizontal flip....

Would it have been possible to get a shot from the other end of the church? From my view and imagination, a shot from the other end would have maybe given you the cake and the icing? The tree is is too overbearing, but I do understand the reasoning for the attempt.

yep - three steps forward, or twenty backwards - I want them both. Perhaps kneeling and a little to the left...

Or down lower and move to the right, so that the yellow branches go Over the church and fill the sky, but the church is completely visible.

No chance for redo. I persuaded my husband to stop in the middle of the road and I ran out and did a grab shot. It definitely could have benefitted from more careful framing!

Just to the left (where there's a tiny loop of path showing) is the local high school with all its appurtenances. I badgered husband to stop the car and let me run out for a quick shot. Between the school and the fact that I was crouching in traffic, I didn't frame it up as well as I should've. But all that yellow stuff with the white stuff on it made me crazy.

I know that church, and that bend in the road, but shot it from a different perspective and never thought of this. Well done! S-
