Well, here's a new thing I'm trying to learn, a sort of illustration technique. It is a mix of photo, photoshop edges, various filters, extreme color, textures, and whatnot. All ideas about how better to do this kind of thing are welcome!!

Are you dangling a carrot in front of me Minnie? I think so if this is in New Orleans ..... the subject, composition and your new technique have my interest to climb the fence and go to the other side, if just for a little while. Won't be long now !!!

Not knowing the details of the action and how the layers are structured I will give this hint. Certain layers can be duplicated to strengthen the look. For example, many "pencil" or "sketch" layers can be stacked to increase the contrast and strength of the lines. Explore that possibility to see if the outlines can be enhanced for a more illustrative style. (?)

Actually this is Jackson, our home train station. But the characters outside the station in NOLA were even more colorful, as you can imagine.

Thanks Frank. I've just blundered through a couple, there is no end to photoshop, a photographer's most addictive set of toys.

That's a very good point. I think it'll help even more on my Felix project. I think doing an extra layer of outline edges even after the whole thing is completed and blending it back down selectively in certain areas may be something worth trying??
