Absolute

Printing:
Yeah I know, a subject we either pull our hair out or send to a lab
I suppose we could all describe our horror and good stories.
This is a good story...AND..Please note. This only relates to what I get with the equipment I am using!!
Took delivery of my new printer Epson surecolor SC-P800
Too expensive for me, but got it cheap.
Then the fun started. Went through Perceptual/Relative...Different paper settings...Piles of discarded paper. Sound familiar?
But it had "Absolute" setting...Never tried it!
Oh well.....why not!!
In short I get precisely what I see
I am just blown away with this setting. The colours are rich, detailed and accurate to what I see.
Have Fun:

Good for you! I don’t think my more humble Epson printer has that setting but I will check!

Thx Minniev and all for your comments. It has been so long since my last printer I'm darned if I can remember if it had Absolute.
Now down sampling from Profoto to Adobe98 16bit and printing from there.
Not tried printing a Profoto file. So I suppose that is next to try.
HAve fun;

Prior to using Absolute, I remember looking at a picture set to Perceptual, I then changed it to Relative Colormetric. What floored me is that I saw all the colours swim. So which one was the closest to accuracy? Damned if I know.
