You and Ernst can, in different styles, capture a lot in a photo of hands. These are weathered, scarred, wrinkled hands of someone who's been on the earth a little while. The positioning is powerful too.

Rather well done Shine and I concur with minniev.....nit pick, my eye keeps finding the dark spot in the lighter area upper left side.....

This is definitely one of your better images. Simple but strong, emotive without apology. While the theme isn't new, the subject is unique enough to make it stand on its own. The processing is gorgeous. It definitely doesn't look flat or embossed, giving a more natural feel to the hands. Two thumbs up from me.
