Upon first arrival there was a solitary fisherman. A short conversation revealed he was not having any luck catching anything.
He noticed my camera and I mentioned to him I was fishing for pictures

Before long his wife stopped by to pick him up but not before I noticed this slithering slender rascal on the bank not ten feet from the guy.
I showed the couple the back of my camera and asked them if they wanted to see it in real life. Nature right there in front of them and they refused to pay it attention. The shame of it all

Not far from the snake was this tender morsel of a fly. Who knows if the snake found it, I know I did.
A short walk along the perimeter brought me to another area teeming with life. Just out of the sun was this robin eyeballing some buzzing dragonflies. I posted the dragonfly images in another post.
Just when I thought there was nothing else around I spotted this little guy trying to take cover under a twig. I carefully moved the twig thinking he'd make a hop for it but, no, he stayed there long enough for me to take this pretty portrait.
