love your redo's, beautiful lighting. Since the bird seems to be looking at something specific, perhaps place an additional and slightly larger glow ball under his beak, or figure a way to move the bird slightly into the background. As is, the glowing balls seem to be more behind him and I think we need the bird right in the midst of things. Somehow bring the glow balls a little more forward, particularly the right edge of the circle..

I wondered about moving the lighting and balls some. The biggest problem I have is that he is holding one of the balls in his "hand" looking at it, and it doesn't really show. I've fooled with it several times and can't seem to get it to look right. The detail in the "hand" except for a couple of claws isn't good, there was some movement (he was really scratching an itch instead of holding a light ball). I'm not sure I can draw a hand, but I may have to try.
