Interesting look. It reminds me of a quilt, or more specifically, Robert Louis Stevenson's poem "Counterpane" https://www.lnstar.com/mall/literature/ ... erpane.htm

I like it! But I can't figure out what it is. It looks like a painting of a view of Minnesota from a couple of thousand feet up, say in a hot air balloon. If it was originally a photograph, the app(s) used to convert it have worked wonderfully. It's very beautiful, impressionistic, evocative, and restful.

(I prefer to present pictures in albums because I can put them in specific order.)

To be honest, the image is overcook and overdone even for what I intended it to be, but was fun to work on and gave me a chance to explore the 'dark side' of the Saturation sliders. There was a little more to it than that, but basically I took the reflections off the water and enhanced them with the help of post processing. If I were to do it again I might ease up quite a bit but it was fun to try this! S-

The rework is much more pastel yet still evokes an aerial of a landscape that has been painted in watercolor. I like the saturated one better I think, but they are both compelling, and part of what makes them is the mystery. :)

I may go back and re-explore the original pushing it where I had meant to go, but going to the extremes was fun too! S-
