That is utterly beautiful. Though the colors are slightly surreal, they work in the same way they work in a painting.

I hope you'll keep talking to us about your processing. I'm intrigued and amazed.

A word on this image, an old M42 takumar 1.4 wide open coupled with Ziess softar #1, you know the one that gave Ingrid Bergman the glow in Casablanca. and then a lot of messing with smudge and softening brushes in an old PSP program. And there it is. Thanks RBorud

A masterpiece of artistry. I am inspired by your work.
I do know the smudge tool, but what softening brushes are you referring to?
I recently posted a boring photo of a stuffed wild cat. Using the lasso and smudge tool I could make it come alive.
Oh happy day

Ed
The softening brush is in the tool packet along with the smudge tool, in this packet is a sharpening, color replacement, saturation, light & dark tool, and a couple others. RBorud

Such artistry and so inspiring Rborud. I adore the subject, colors, and your editing style. I want this as a poster in my kitchen!

What are your thoughts about that poor little dead rose in the bottom-right corner?

I don't really see it but wanted to say something other than how much I like this! S-
