Little Soccer Sister

Post by minniev » Fri Jun 07, 2019 6:38 pm

The siblings of your child/grandchild's soccer team members become extended soccer family too. Dillon's little sister was so cute using an umbrella while kicking the ball around the sidelines during the last (very hot) games of the year.

I had a play trying to use some artistic ways to render cartoon-like images.

That look awesome. You have managed to distill the scene to its principal parts. This is worthy of a print.

Thanks Duck. It was my intent to distill to basic parts using an illustrative approach to processing, so I'm thrilled that you think I've had some success here. I've never found that one click filters get me where I want to go, but using some of those in conjunction with PS with layers and masks can get me closer.

Finalizing a design that you have visualized will never to be a "one click" process. If that was the case, everyone would be an artist and art wouldn't be special.

Agree. One click filters and such are just tools, and when applied to artistic efforts, are kinda like paint-by-numbers art. Each one has to be considered in terms of what it may accomplish, then applied where, when, how, and how much to every part of the image. Same to be said for actions, which are usually easily customized. Actions are not quite like paint by numbers, but they are somebody else's concept, so they require tinkering too if we are to make something original. Which is the point.
