Oh that’s pretty, Piet. I like the colors and the “finish” you’ve got on her. Are you gonna tell us how you did it?

Thank you Min, it was nothing special, some of it got painted, I colored things with color - sometimes I would take it and do a multiply on it (like the darker around her waist). I touched a couple of highlights with screen and drew in some dark lines. Played with Nik a little, I think I did "soft and grainy". And I threw a texture onto it. The "finish" might have been Tiffen DFX4, I can't remember, but I think it was one of the diffusion ones that made her glow, glimmerglass or some such thing..

Piet, Marvelous, marvelous, just marvelous. If you want to continue the story, give Benedikt some heroic tasks to perform before she deigns meet him. Stygian stable type stuff, suitable for winning this warrior's nod. Man's gotta prove himself worthy. Matt

thanks Frank and Matt - I have to figure out how to finish this.. I will get away for a couple of day, clean up more skin, and figure out how to add a sense of circular motion around the conch shell.

Excellent concept Piet !!! From the beginning I had no preference to color choice. Knowing that what you came up with would be acceptable. Benedikt & Shield Maiden could be the perfect match for one another. I'm sure you have some future plans for the two?

That glassy glow is what I like so much. Good choice and good handiwork.

thanks Min, Since it is a fantasy piece, I took the liberty of adding some fog and mood and playing with color a little... this is where it ends up!
