I still can't control what the damned thing does. This one came out better than most.

It is an action called Squicker Art by Dave Seeram and marketed through PhotographyBB. I got it and his other actions in a bundle that was a charity sale. I need to learn how to use them. What seemed to help this time was I switched to a watercolor brush to define the target area before running the action. The usual old round brush just wasn't getting it.

The Squicker action is pretty crazy. I have a handful of actions I've picked up here and there, and the Group has persuaded me to learn about using them a little better.

Well I like it. Without seeing other examples I have no basis for comparison, but I like this picture. I like the story it tells, plus I like the treatment. I am such a stuck-inna-mud that I never seem to try most of this stuff. When I see something like this I think maybe I should. (OK)
Friends call me Chuck. :photo: This link takes you to my Flickr albums. Please click on any album to scroll through it.
(I prefer to present pictures in albums because I can put them in specific order.)

All the great photographers use cameras! No, really. :|

It's just an action, all I did was run it in PS and tinker with the results, which I've not done much of before Duck and Frank and Piet teased us with some interesting results from actions they are experimenting with. I still don't have a firm handle on how to select for where the action focuses, but it's another kind of fun! And for me, playing with pictures is a huge bundle of fun!

I'm looking forward to the graphic novel and want to know the rest of the story! S-
