It saddens me to forward the news that our good friend and fellow photographer, Matt Quinn, has passed. As some of you may know, he had been battling cancer for a while and was on his way to recovery. Please take a moment to remember him in your prayers. |

I am with you though my winters can't compare with yours! For us, 3 weeks of below freezing temperatures is ghastly, and we are due ice falling from the sky tomorrow. Yes, I'd welcome this beautiful purple flower with all its detail. Thanks for reminding us that spring may actually come one day!

minniev thanks for your thoughts they warm the heart. I saw the image of your swamp child and thought it quite lovely. I made touches that I thought might interest you. But I cannot find my way back to the original image. (still confused with wearabouts in this website) I thought I could slip it to you for your evaluation from here. And I always welcome your taking an editing hand to any of my images. It always intrigues me to see how others might process my images for different looks, and I learn from them. Thanks for taking a turn at the Swamp Child, he is one of my favorite subjects in all seasons. You've brought out lots of detail in the little tree and in the blue ice that surrounded him that day.RBorud wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2018 4:09 pmminniev thanks for your thoughts they warm the heart. pM still puzzles me at times, mostly because I'm still getting used to the new interface. But I'm so grateful Duck has tamed it for us, it is much easier now than it once was! Keep on plugging, and we'll find its secrets one day. Maybe by springtime! (Mine will arrive sooner than yours).
