I have no idea how I missed this news but I did. At least I know that all anyone can do is hang in there and fight, which you are and with spirit, documenting the journey with pictures and maintaining a sense of humor!
And I have lots of support. A wife who is a hovering nurse, a doctor with 18 years cancer research experience at Johns Hopkins Med School, and a caring competent team at the chemo center. And a chamber of colleagues at pM. Can't let anyone down. Matt

Halfway done. And feeling fine. Here are three from today.

After the patient in the chair to my left had left, the nurse pulled the curtain back so we would have more light and room. And a view of the dogwood.

Bonnie, our nurse, adjusting the flow. She double-gloves and wear an impermeable paper gown. The stuff is hazardous and toxic. But they drug me good so I don't feel a thing.

Drip chamber in the iv feed for the chemo. I tried to catch a drop as it hit the liquid but my timing was off. I did get a drip after it had dropped or a drop after it had dripped. Whatever. Matt

We remain on your team and in your corner Matt. That last photo is a doozy. You're getting to the abstract phase of this very terrible adventure. We are honored and prayerful to share it with you.

Thanks much, Minnie. Great care at home. (My wife has a Ph.D. in Nursing and was dean of a college of nursing so she has a keen, watchful eye.) Great doctor -- 18 years research experience at Johns Hopkins University Med School before establishing the Cancer Center at ST. Agnes Hospital where I go.) Superb nurses. And great support from the pM crowd. Can't disappoint.

Had session 5 of 6 on Thursday. Counting down. The oncologist said that, if #6 goes well on June 28, we should be able to go to our 'happy place' on Cape Cod in late July. Fingers crossed.

The chemo bays have two large comfy chairs -- you're in it for about 6-8 hours -- separated by a privacy curtain. When I arrived for session 5, the other chair was empty and the curtain was open. Late in the morning, another patient arrived with a companion. The curtain was closed and this was what I saw. Treated it in Topaz Old West, or something like that. Matt
