how to change the world

Post by PietFrancke » Tue Apr 03, 2018 5:22 pm

Please add - please be specific.

1) Change myself, improve my skills - watch Vinny Le Pes, he is fun to listen to and teaches cool stuff
2) Engage myself in my community - This weekend I will go to church. Shirl has been bugging me about it, time to make it happen.
3) Don't listen to talking heads - "goodreads" is good for more detailed information about some things that are going on. Listening to the weatherman is ok, he has greater reliability than his counterparts.

Listen to really good music every day.
Talk to a child or animal every day.
Work on something creative every day and share it somehow with others.
Get involved in some community effort to make things better: volunteer at a shelter or school, help with an environmental cleanup, etc.
Perform random acts of kindness.

your list is so much stronger than mine. You make me better by sharing this list. I particularly like the humility of talking to a child or an animal (I suspect in fact that This is how one talks to God). And performing random acts of kindness is Strong and Good through and through.

A world Lost can be Taken Back. Thank you for sharing how to do this.

Change yourself change the world!

Revisit an old skill and improve on it
Challenge yourself to something new

"Change the world, one act of random kindness at a time."

Great quote by a great actor.

My favorite quote is still the one I use myself all the time; "If you didn't learn something new today, you wasted the day."

No one has the potential to love you more than you love yourself.
You don't know your potential until you've failed a few times.
The gift of giving is the gift that keeps on giving.

And one of my all time favorites; "there is only one race, the human race."
It's just a shame people forget that one far too often.
"If you didn't learn something new today, you wasted a day."

Listen to your spouse and children and grandchildren
Lisen to yourself
Kiss your spouse
Touch your family as you pass them
Call/write/visit friends
Pick up after yourself
Make breakfast
Don't speed or blow the horn
Smile

It takes more facial muscles to frown or scowl. Be lazy, smile more often.
