Leaving the Pinnacles I had originally planned to make a trip to the Buttermilk Country Loop, but a stop at the Interagency Ranger Station revealed the gates to North and South Lakes were closed for another few days. I could make it to Lake Sabrina but with the other two out I asked what else I could do and they suggested the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest. I've always wanted to go so off I went. It was colder than expected but pleasant enough and worth a return visit when I have more time to sit with the trees and learn their language the way it was meant to be heard!Charles Haacker wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 2:41 pmBristlecone! It took me a minute. There's a park or monument in CA someplace and we were there years and years ago. I'll say what I said about Methuselah: Beautifully composed, very rich (Kodachrome 25 at altitude with a polarizer rich), very Nat Geo-y. The sky might be just a tad too much but it's all subjective. I like it very much!
What do you think of this one? S-
