Nik Color Efex has a filter called darken/lighten something-something (not at my laptop, lol). You have much control with the opacity and placement of the dark, as well as lightening a certain area. Yeah, I know that can all be done with other pp as well, but I am very spoiled by my Nik filters. Even though I've learned to control them (I never do a one-click anymore), I still appreciate the ease of having someone else start the process
