Beautiful! Exquisite! Calls to mind Imogen Cunningham and her studies of callas, or Edward Weston's studies of peppers. I truly admire (and am maybe a little envious of) photographers who can do this work and keep it fresh and exciting. I especially like that tiny wire-sharp hook in the second picture. You could say it "hooked" me, pun absolutely intended. :D
Friends call me Chuck. :photo: This link takes you to my Flickr albums. Please click on any album to scroll through it.
(I prefer to present pictures in albums because I can put them in specific order.)

All the great photographers use cameras! No, really. :|

Absolutely gorgeous rendition of the most elegant of flowers. And please do add images to them. I have tried but failed with calla lilies, though I still keep one as my screensaver in spite of its/my shortcomings.

I once stumbled upon a photo-walk in Seattle's Pike Place Market, led by Vincent Versace, and I admired the calla lily images he produced from that session and other studio shots he did with these photogenic flowers. His images are similar in concept and execution but I believe yours are more beautiful and invoke more emotional impact from the viewer.

There are no banal subjects in photography, but an infinite number of banal ways to illustrate them.

Just came across this image of Calla Lilies from my mentor Shedrich Williames. Here is where my inspiration lies.

More beauty. Your mentor's calla lilies are beautiful too, but different. Yours are more mysterious and have more flow. I know those aren't standard terms for describing photographs but it's what I see.

I can picture these processed as carbon transfer prints onto some nice textured papers in a large format.

Man, they'd be gorgeous!
