My thoughts are to reduce the vibrance of the back ground and increase it for subject......I like the framing and subject

:D You. Should see the original before I desaturated that field! Maybe lowering the yellow more will help.

yep - lower yellow, but take this shot again (if you can) on a moody rainy day - just to see..

I mean to give that a try today. Red top may be done before I get back though, it was in its last gasp the day I shot this. I should;‘ve got out there at dawn when it was still in shade.
