Nostalgic Photos of Tourists

Post by St3v3M » Thu Jun 07, 2018 9:46 pm

I came across Nostalgic Photos of Tourists in U.S. National Parks and thought it would be fun to post Tourist shots of ourselves or friends.

I'll start below. S-

This is my son mugging it on his first adult trip to Yosemite a little more than a year ago. We had stopped for breakfast!

I took him once before when he was about half as old and he fell in love with it so he's working on getting his girlfriend up there later in the year too. I still remember the first words he said about the park - It's Like Time Stood Still. S-

Cool shot of you and your son in what we know to be your second home.

I have many of those too. Here's a couple. As you can see, I only travel with Boys.

My son and his two older sons on our camping trip in Petit Jean state park in the mountains of Arkansas.

And my husband and Graham Smith on our trek through the Hebrides in Scotland last fall.

Excellent idea for a topic Steve !!! Great shot of you and your son, I'm sure that image and his first words of description will become a heirloom memory for the two of you.

Both images are great Minnie, but the one of Gene and Graham is absolutely stunning !!! I love that one and do wonder if Graham has seen it? I'm sure he has by now though.

Here is one I will share of my wife Sharon and I at the Petrified Forest National Park in northeastern Arizona. This was taken in 2015 by a stranger that offered his services with my camera.

These are wonderful, I especially love that Gene and Graham are wearing the same hats! S-

It's interesting to see how someone will react to your favorite place, will the love it or hate it? It's even better though to see the joy spread through their face and infect their soul, it's like seeing it for the first time all over again! He was young then but even then he got it and wants to share it with everyone else. That's real magic! S-

The two of you are a cute couple and now I'll have to add that one to the list too! Love it! S-

Thanks Steve !!! Not sure what list you were referring to, but hope it's not the FBI's most wanted list, LOL.
