Re: Celebrate What's Right!

Post by Charles Haacker » Thu Mar 29, 2018 2:03 am

I am just plain gobsmacked by all the pictures in this thread, but especially the people, and most especially the kids. Kids are great anyway, but more importantly in celebrating what's right is what kids represent: our future. We were once where they are now. Once we were the future. For some of us it's all past now and we will give way, hopefully having done the very best we knew how not to totally screw it up. Each new generation sets out as the hope of the world, and although it often is two steps forward and maybe two back, progress is inevitably, inexorably, glacially made. It's a process, but always the kids are ultimately the most important people in the world. :yay:

(I prefer to present pictures in albums because I can put them in specific order.)

All the great photographers use cameras! No, really. :|

Great pics, Matt, especially the "gap" toothed girl in monochrome and the shared reading with grandmother. Love them all and share in your celebration.

Thanks Minnie. The grands are a great celebration of life. But you know that. Matt

28 lbs. I PS his father's helping hand at the top. You can see the odd curve in the water. Matt

I have seen stunning images in this thread (Matt, I really like your flock of birds shot) and I hesitate to throw in some of my shots. But in the spirit of celebrating what is right, that I am thankful for,
seeing a storm come in, the road I walk my dog on, the marsh and trees and Spring on it's way.

Piet, Masterful. Very judicious and controlled use of effects. Elegant and modest, letting the scenes speak for themselves. Kudos. Matt
