I like this idea and hope others will join in. I follow Dewitt's Celebrate What's Right Facebook site, but have never posted to it. Great to have our own!

I shot this yesterday inspired by his TED talk about the dandelions and puffballs. My dandelions apparently bloomed while I've been away these last two weeks but some of the puffballs remain.

I have to say I felt inspired to shoot them too - puffballs! Thank you for this! S-

Because I think this is a good idea, I'll chase it a while. I've got plenty to celebrate!

A full moon over the Caribbean was something to celebrate. But even better, my son was photographing it with me and we were competing. I'm so glad to have a kid using a camera, even if it's a Go Pro.

Please do but I'll add a Friday image anyway - I've been chasing the Mississippi sandhill cranes for years, and have never found one despite at least one trip a year to their refuge. Birds, as we all know, do not care what we want and instead occupy themselves with what they want to do.

After a fruitless 3 hours on this year's trip, riding and hiking and questioning folks, I left, and on the way back to the hotel, spotted this sandhill couple happily rooting around in someone's front yard.

Something to celebrate!

Craftmanship is what's right.

Charlie Whitehead is as old as me if not older (he has great grandchildren the same age as my grandchildren). He is as amiable as a marshmallow but strong as an ox and with the vision and craft to rescue the most damaged of old furniture items and restore them to their original glory. This week he delivered this old pecan-wood piece to me. Here's the Before and After. It had water damage, dog (or goat)-chewing damage, and was so warped that none of the drawers opened. The bottom drawer was an apartment house for mice.
