Out with the Old

Post by Ernst-Ulrich Schafer » Wed Dec 27, 2017 11:32 pm

In with the New, New Year that is.

This image is by Andre Kertesz (one of my all time favorite photographers) it was taken on New Years Day. It started my New Years Day project almost 40 years ago. I challenge everyone to get out on Monday to create their own New Years Day images. Just a great way to start that New Year. Best to ya, Ernst

Sure, give us a challenge with a masterpiece to run up against. :-D

Speaking for myself, I couldn't top that in a million years. But hey, it's all in the trying. Right?

Very nice images, both the first inspirational post and the additional shot of the Adirondack chairs. Thank you for keeping us trying!

New Year, full moon, first of two for the new month and the new year.

Got out in finger-numbing cold last night to do the moon. Someday, when I have learned more in PS, I may combine these two, but here they are, separately, for the moment. To avoid the moon blowing out the first photo, I stooped down so it was backlighting (Yo Chuck!) the cherry tree.
