The Front Gate

If I remember correctly, this was done with an iPhone 5 with a little help from an app called Kaleidacam.

It's the entrance to my place of work.

The satellite dishes and wire fencing really make this shot. Is this flooding or a pond? I can't tell for sure. Great eye, Mike.

That's interesting and a little tricky to figure out! Does the app actually create the reflection? I had to look a while to figure out where the "line" was that separates the picture and reflection, and I'm still a little dizzy from trying to unravel the gate, mistook part of it for a phone booth till I noticed the man, who dwarfed it.

Ya'll definitely have enough sat dishes and they add to the mystery.

Thanks for sharing. You and Martha have given us some Sunday morning visual puzzles!

Sorry for the delay. I’ve been a little busy.

Linda, it’s no pond but rather the reflection of the sky helped out a lot by the software. It’s split, more or less, along a horizontal axis by Kaleidacam.

Not bad for a quickie, I was on my way in and dosn’t have a lot of time to consider alternate views or compositions.

Minnie, you seem to be pretty good at the unraveling part :D

Kaleidacam looks fun and love the shot. I guess you don't have Bring A Friend To Work Fridays there. Thanks for adding this! S-

Thanks Steve, it is always appreciated when folks with more talent than I have good things to say about my humble offerings and sometimes there is a twinge of guilt for “resorting” to a cellphone camera but the Nikon may have attracted unwanted attention. Recording devices of any kind are not allowed inside unless they are facility issue.

Kaleidacam was one of those that I downloaded through something called Apps Gone Free and it’s kind of like a severe fisheye. Not used much but when you need a particular effect, it’s quite handy.

I make jokes with a friend on the Hog about CPP's (Crappy Phone Pics) but the funny part is that they don't take bad pictures if they have enough light but I still prefer my 7100. :)

It isn't, however, glued to my hand.

I firmly believe that to be true and had to explain to my friend that one needed to have the tongue firmly planted in the cheek to read the CPP thing.
