Oddity: Cold Fire

Post by minniev » Mon Apr 09, 2018 6:11 pm

This oddity is pretty much as I shot it in late afternoon shadow, converted to black and white. It looked so peculiar, like something you'd do with the threshhold controls in PS (which I confess I don't understand),that I added an overlay with a weathered vignette to try and relieve the austerity of it. I was tempted to color that waterfall orange but wouldn't give in to the urge.

He seems huddled and lonely. And very hungry. Grand treatment. Sharp on him, soft elsewhere. He pops. Matt

He was probably cold too, they scrunch down like that when it’s cold. Thanks.

That's amazing, it looks like a long exposure, but the bird is sharp. Love it! S-
