minniev....I realize you put this in showcase and I like it but fear I would be doing you an injustice to not ask about the black, upper right....and am also wondering if you added some canvas at the bottom as I see some duplicate waves...
Boy do you have sharp eyes! Your comment prompted me to look again; I had noticed the black mark but paid it no mind, figuring Minnie would catch it and attend to it. But the duplicate waves? Don't see them. I do see some muddiness 1/3 of the way up on right and left and am puzzled by its lack of texture. Gotta get these cataracts removed.

Maybe this dude is a confirmed bachelor who likes his evenings and weekends to himself.

Frank does have the sharpest of our eyes, not sure what kind of carrots he's eating but I need some. I did find the duplicate waves, which were also created by the rogue layer that bore the blackish spot. Probably also responsible for those muddy areas.

Some of the younger egrets don't seem to get the girls their first try. The guy has to build a nest by himself and it has to be nice enough to lure a lady into it. He also needs the proper brightness of green on his beak and he needs to curl his tail and keep it clean. Some of these boys just don't pass muster.
