First time I've tried a panorama approach to a portrait. 3 shots stitched in LR. Gulf Islands National Seashore a few days ago.

THAT is just gorgeous! There isn't one thing I would change! The light, the reflections, the green, the presumably recently fed 'gator being sleepily lazy, so much so that s/he looks actually benign (they are beautiful animals and they outlasted the dinosaurs so there's that)... (OK) (Y)
Friends call me Chuck. :photo: This link takes you to my Flickr albums. Please click on any album to scroll through it.
(I prefer to present pictures in albums because I can put them in specific order.)

All the great photographers use cameras! No, really. :|

Thanks Chuck. I don't know how much they've eaten yet, it is still so cold these guys are stuporous, barely awake and fresh out of their winter holes. They were coaxed out by a couple of weeks of temps in the 70's, then stunned when it dropped back to the 30s this past two weeks. I am not sure they know what to do.

Thank ya Frank. The color in foliage is just starting down here, but the live oaks are green year round, so I made the most of them.

This is just one terrific image!
The ‘gator at repose with its chin shoved up on the lodged branch as a “drift anchor” while “Its Fierceness” dozes.
The scaled beast is set off well by the surround of that beautiful tapestry of verdant reflections.

Great job on the pano!

This is another of yours I’d love to claim as mine!

Dave

Thank you. I had to try the pano since he was so utterly still and cooperative, and this was the only angle available anyway. I think these guys had just awakened from the Long Rest.
