It saddens me to forward the news that our good friend and fellow photographer, Matt Quinn, has passed.
As some of you may know, he had been battling cancer for a while and was on his way to recovery.
Please take a moment to remember him in your prayers.

ribbiting! Love that ear-drum and those eyes. I was reading that frogs can't move their heads (neckless I guess), thus their big popping eyes - which they actually use to push food downwards when they bite off more than they can chew.

Probably where the automotive industry got their inspiration for the unibody design.

I've heard of, "eyes bigger than your stomach," before but that bit of info takes the cake.

Very nicely composed and captured image. The zoo display gives some compositional gifts that are fun to take advantage off, though the lighting and reflections (both of which you handled quite well) can be challenging to work with.

So true. Plus the added bonus of photographing animals one would likely never get a chance to in life. At least not with some expense.

Thank you. This was actually during a meetup group where I was instructing others on how to overcome those exact obstacles.

Thanks for the comments. (Y)

That's one heckuva shallow dof that you precisely placed for the eye and ear!
Nicely done portrait!

Thanks Dave. It was a small, somewhat dark enclosure with the background fairly close. The whole scene pretty much screamed large aperture.
I appreciate the look.
