Bill Swets and the Zimmer

Post by Bobby Deal » Fri Jul 10, 2015 9:14 am

Today I had the pleasure to meet a truly amazing man and artist. A Lifetime as a farmer and 35 years as a Fireman and still he found time to be one of the worlds most prolific assemblage artists. I was touring his 35 acre gallery the Swetsville Zoo and met him and after talking with him for a few minutes he said he had something to show me and opens the garage to this mint one of 2000 ever made Zimmer Automobile/ After taking his photo really quickly he invited me and Gigi to load into his golf cart (amazingly un-altered) and took us on the behind the public scenes personal guided tour. I am going back out tomorrow to document the art, art car and antiques that make up the Swetsville Zoo but for tonight I just wanted to introduce you to Bill Swets and his pride and joy Zimmer which he is taking to a car show this weekend in Sterling Co. He will be driving it there and back so if you keep an eye on Hwy 14 this weekend you just could see the fun and creative man with a quick smile and a heart that seems as big as his imagination rolling down the road in this iconic piece of Automobile history.

I like the processing on these Bobby. Sounds like an interesting feller.
