Cuban Refugees

Post by Bob's Photography » Fri May 22, 2015 9:49 pm

This is the "Mariel" a Cuban refugee boat that was in the news many years ago. This and a couple of other boats are on display in Key West, Fl. where we have a home. This little boat probably had over 20 people on it on its 90 mile trip from Cuba to Key West. As far as I know, the current rules say, if your foot touches sand you get to stay, if the Coast Guard stops you before you make land, you get sent back. Not to get political, but, a lot of Americans take their freedom for granted.
