Hot Air Balloons

Post by Ceropegia » Sun Apr 30, 2017 1:32 pm

These were taken at the 2015 Alabama Jubilee Hot Air Balloon Classic in Decatur, Alabama. I posted a couple here from the Jubilee in 2015, but never got around to posting any others (partly because I got very far behind on editing).

I'm gonna attend one of these balloon events one of these days. Very colorful!

I think I'm going to have to do the same after seeing this amazing display. I want to see more! S-

I love that you composed for closer details: lines and colors. Very, very appealing!

Great color and detail, a good story about a balloon event in short order! The second one is my favorite, which got me to thinking: there's a lot of really cool abstracts that could be carved out of these images and the others I'm sure you have from the event.

Thanks, Everyone! That was my one and only balloon show. I had a chance to go to the big one in Albuquerque in the fall of 2014, but unhappily had to pass on it. It was sort of on my to do list, then I discovered that one is held every year here in Alabama within about 70 miles from my home, so off I went in the spring of 2015. May go back again this year.

In fact, I did play with one of my balloon images a couple weeks ago. Thought I would post it here, but couldn't decide what category to post it under. I believe several years ago, someone, perhaps I, suggested we needed a group for photo manipulations/creations.

Now that's cool, and it would make a fun Avatar!

I'll send another email soon and see if we can get more suggestions. Keep this one on the list! S-

That's a pretty cool creation, thanks for sharing it. I would hope that digital creations would be welcome - I do a lot of composites and photoshop manipulation, and love to share ideas and tricks to use in that wonderful world of created images.
