It saddens me to forward the news that our good friend and fellow photographer, Matt Quinn, has passed.
As some of you may know, he had been battling cancer for a while and was on his way to recovery.
Please take a moment to remember him in your prayers.

Pink Taxi

More Havana. I don't think I've posted this one here, but posted it elsewhere for critique, so not asking you to do that though of course all comments and suggestions are appreciated. It has a good bit of work done to clean up junk and to try to make sense of the scene which is on a very slight downward slope, just enough to make your eyes have trouble with it. I tried to mitigate that, never sure how such things work when you are fighting between shooting angle and land angle.

Havana is full of colors and 1950's American made automobiles. Lovely capture Minnie. This appears to be maybe a 1953 Buick? During the early 70's, we had a port of call to Istanbul,Turkey and most cars were of the same shown here, but never a pink one that I can recall. I love those 1950 style autos. A fresh paint job will do wonders and maybe a set of matching wheel covers. Still, a beautiful car.
I just took note, is that a lock cylinder on the fuel door? Not factory installed for sure.

very cool Min. The only thing I can think of to mitigate the slope thing is to get a selection made and rotate the subject and the landscape independently of each other. Or for that matter, save the man, car and road and replace the background entirely.
