#58, Havana

Post by minniev »

You see the old cars all over Havana. This was shot at the the military park at El Moro, a castle and fortress dating to the 1500's which also happens to house relics from the 1962 Cuba-US crisis (the Soviet rockets, the anti aircraft guns, pieces of a US U2 that was shot down then.

You can se the anti aircraft guns in this shot, the top of an old lighthouse, military checkpoint station and various buildings.

Still experimenting with editing these bright colored shiny cars with all their detail.

All of them seem to favor the shiny candy paint jobs.

if you want a deeper candy apple maybe try duplicating the layer and change the blend mode to multiply, add a black mask and paint the cars back in, opacity to taste.......

Thanks, I forget about that trick!

Of course I forget most things, right after I learn them.

They have held their country together with spit and string under difficult circumstances since 1959. They have learned to fix anything with whatever they have available. We could learn a lot from them.
