Rope or line?

Post by Matt Quinn » Sun Jul 30, 2017 4:30 pm

This morning's shoot. No moving tide so I had to settle for stuff dockside.

Thanks. Is that your "selfie" in my photo? It's not mine and I don't know how it got there. How can I remove it? Thanks Matt

The way to remove it, I think, is to post your own avatar which will take precedence over this one. It appears to me that ALL of us are Indiana Jones until we choose our own avatars to post. I have had my turn being him, when I first signed up :D Then if that doesn't work, say so and we'll get our Chief Investigators to look into it.

As for the rope picture, I like it - great detail, line and tone, with a clear enough background to give context but not so clear that it detracts from the rope itself. I am fond of taking rope pictures myself when I'm in a coastal area, so this hits a hot spot for me!

Thank you Minnie. I'll search for either an avatar or a portrait and go from there. I'll contact an administrator if I have trouble. Matt

Matt, (and anyone else wondering about changing an avatar) instruction on how to change/upload your avatar can be found in the [urlhttp://www.photomentoris.com/page/guide#avatar]user's guide[/url] found in the link just under the forum logo above. If you have any problems, let me know.

P.S. I am surprised to see the Indiana Jones avatar come up as I thought I had set the default to be this icon...

The depth of field makes me feel like there was some motion blur, but it's a dock and things move. I really like this! S-

Thanks Steve. I have had hip replacement and can't get down low, and if I do, I can't get up. So I have to put the camera on the ground and hope. Matt
