Interesting play on texture. I do get an unnatural desire to turn my head sideways like this should have been presented in landscape. But that could just be me.

So it's not just me? It reminds me of a topographic map! Ice is amazing! S-

I'm seeing cephalopods these days. Last week it was octopedes; this week it's squid. Duck saw Alf, I see squid. More than one, actually, a giant squid, and bait. Then a spinal column or maybe something something. Ish. I think seeing the crystal patterns in the ice is cool all by itself! You probably don't see much ice. I lived with the stuff for 22+ years and never bothered to look and really see! (Did you know you have squid in your pond...?)
A squid? Perfect swamp resident!

Ice intrigues me, possibly since I see it so little that I cannot grow tired of it. It's pretty much gone now, except in shards deep in the shade. I had fun playing with various kinds of processing for these.

And this is the way I shot it, straight downwards. Can't fool Mother Nature huh?

Yes, ice is so beautiful, whether it's this temporary art show designed by Jack Frost in conjunction with Mother Nature, or the ancient pulsing blue light of glaciers.
