Shiny Metal

Post by minniev » Sun Nov 25, 2018 1:57 pm

My assignment on my other 52 project site was "metal" so of course I used one of the Cuba shots of the shiniest metal I could find. Went a little overboard with processing on purpose, ramping up color, grain, etc. for fun. It's in the showcase section just because I submitted it elsewhere, but feel free to comment any way you see fit or edit if you'd like.

Oh Minnie, an image after my heart !!! My early teenage years, my favorite car was the 57' Ford, until the Mustang came along. Then add to the pleasure, a convertible !!! A well processed, captured image. The framing around the picture really adds to the timeframe. Just absolutely perfect !!!

Wonderful image Minnie, WoWzer!!! It brings back some memories for me........

In 1960 I came to America with my step-father, we traveled to upstate New York to his family farm. He bought a 1957 Blue Hard Top Fairlane and we drove from New York
to Ft Lewis, Washington. I was 8 years old and I remember it well.
Today is the Day, a New Day.

Thanks Dave. This is the first deckled edge I've found, buried in the presets of On1. I bet it would do up fine in monochrome but I couldn't sacrifice the color.

Glad you enjoyed it Ernst. Thanks for sharing a story. It is amazing how these old cars bring back our memories. My father spent a few years in the 50s in the car business, and we always had the latest model as a "demo" so I'm a little more aware of the 50's classics than I might be otherwise.
