Chair

Post by pop511 » Fri Aug 10, 2018 8:39 pm

I enjoy and learn so much from all on this forum.
Ernst our fellow member has this wonderful knack of capturing inanimate objects and taking it into art.
Saw this chair in the Sydney Art Gallery and I immediately thought of Ernst
In colour it was ho-hum. Anyway we have start somewhere.
In raw I took all the clarity and contrast out and it produced a soft dreamy effect.
Then a quick play in Nik Silver efex pro2
Have fun;

That’s very cool! The smooth silky feel of it gives it a lot of drama. And yes, The framing and subject is Ernst-ish! There’s probably a dozen more ways you could process this and make other cool versions but this is -retry interesting.

Minniev;
Very true. Get six classical pianists to play the same piece of Bach.
Same music, but all sound different.

Delightful. Joyful. Playful. But my eye wants the left chair to be moved in a tad and turned slight right to maintain the journey to symmetry. But if this was an installation, then artist's choice. Well done. Matt
