Lovely work Duck;
It is such a pleasure and learning experience to know what and how other photogs do their work.
With your "tossed salad," can you add a dressed duck? :D

I was looking to add something unusual to my portfolio and I came up with the idea of creating and "exploded view" of a sandwich. Not the most original but hopefully it showcases what I can do at my studio. I'm including a behind the scene shot for those of you who are interested in that kind of stuff. Enjoy.

Impressive concept !!! I like it very much.

Sacrilege! Tantamount to cannibalism!

Oh, wait... I'm not really a duck. I actually love roasted duck. :?

Never mind... ;)

Thank you all for the positive responses. Now for the sad news...

I didn't get to do the tossed salad yesterday like I wanted to. My jeep (my trusty off road warrior) is currently disabled. I got in and the clutch pedal hit the floor. It's at the garage now and hopefully it's an easy (not too expensive) fix.

Salad will have to wait.

sigh.. but not so sad - clutch hitting floor is much better than having jeep wrecking daughter taking it into a tree.

Thanks guys. It was definitely a test of patience. That shot took about four hours to construct. And another hour and a half to process.

After I took the final shot I built the sandwich normally and shoot that as well. I'll post that one later. My next project is going to be a salad. :)
A fabulous job! You did the styling yourself I take it? How did you manage to keep everything fresh looking over the course of the long build? It looks as fresh as if you just tossed it all in the air and shot before it came down. :thumbup:

(I prefer to present pictures in albums because I can put them in specific order.)

All the great photographers use cameras! No, really. :|

Amazing what a spritz of water can do to liven up an image. :D
