Flavor at every level

Post by Duck » Thu Jun 28, 2018 5:00 am

I was looking to add something unusual to my portfolio and I came up with the idea of creating and "exploded view" of a sandwich. Not the most original but hopefully it showcases what I can do at my studio. I'm including a behind the scene shot for those of you who are interested in that kind of stuff. Enjoy.

Thanks guys. It was definitely a test of patience. That shot took about four hours to construct. And another hour and a half to process.

After I took the final shot I built the sandwich normally and shoot that as well. I'll post that one later. My next project is going to be a salad. :)

an 8 hour job would be a "tossed" salad!

Very nice concept and wonderfully executed. And double-Wow! at the set up with all those wires and the lighting! I'm terribly impressed with this one.

I initially tried it with thin, 4 lb. fishing line but it was too flimsy. The line drooped in unpredictable amounts under the different weights, not to mention the hammock effect up the ladder every time I made an adjustment. That was four hours of futility the day before.

Today I am attempting the "tossed" salad. Wish me luck. I'll make sure to take more BTS photos and maybe a walk through video.
