More than a book

Post by Matt Quinn » Thu Feb 15, 2018 12:31 am

An 11th grader did this by folding the pages of a book.

A neighboring town had built a new library which friends had recommend we see. My wife and I took a trip there this afternoon and were suitably impressed. It's built above a pond with a view of the water through trees and has a snuggly reading nook in a corner with very large windows to let in lots of light.

The library had conducted an art contest for the local high school and exhibited the winners. With permission, I took a photo of this one; I thought it was wonderfully clever and appropriate for Cape Coe where the Great Whites cruise the deeper parts of the bay, feeding on the seals. This boy had attended a seminar last summer on the sharks which inspired him to attempt this. And he only got an honorable mention. But I liked this one the most. Matt

Not just a fantastic concept to create the image within the book, but an exceptional photograph that captures the magic, forcing us to look and look again until we find the treasure and figure out the concept for ourselves. Thanks for sharing.
