More than a book

Post by Matt Quinn » Thu Feb 15, 2018 12:31 am

An 11th grader did this by folding the pages of a book.

A neighboring town had built a new library which friends had recommend we see. My wife and I took a trip there this afternoon and were suitably impressed. It's built above a pond with a view of the water through trees and has a snuggly reading nook in a corner with very large windows to let in lots of light.

The library had conducted an art contest for the local high school and exhibited the winners. With permission, I took a photo of this one; I thought it was wonderfully clever and appropriate for Cape Coe where the Great Whites cruise the deeper parts of the bay, feeding on the seals. This boy had attended a seminar last summer on the sharks which inspired him to attempt this. And he only got an honorable mention. But I liked this one the most. Matt
