Uhm... yeah... wow!

The only thing that catches my eye that's a distraction is that shadow ( ? ) on his thumb. Otherwise a superb image.

It's those little things that only the eyes of others pick up. Perhaps we should all have other peoples eyes. 8):

iirc his fingers were heavily nicotine stained. It calls for a touch of dodging. Thanks Duck :)

I only picked up on it because his hands are the predominant parts of the image. I look at this image and can picture him playing it. With a little meditation I can even hear a tune coming from it. As I said, a magnificent image.

Good to see you back! Great image. You and Ernst prove to us that it's possible to make fine portraits without visible faces! This one has the added challenge of being shot in contrasty light, and you've used it to advantage instead. Great composition and balance, great detail. I would not have noticed the darkened thumb if Duck hadn't mentioned it but now that I see it I can't unsee it of course, but an easy fix. A fine photograph.

I find it magnificent! I especially like the brim of his hat coming partially into frame. All the attention is on his wonderful hands. I can hear the chords, and castanets! When I was very young my parents took me to see the great José Greco live. I never forgot him, and I love flamenco to this day. :thanks:
Friends call me Chuck. :photo: This link takes you to my Flickr albums. Please click on any album to scroll through it.
(I prefer to present pictures in albums because I can put them in specific order.)

All the great photographers use cameras! No, really. :|
