Thank you Matt....there has been many discussions regarding your statement...for me unless it is some type of documentary shot anything goes, just my personal feeling mind you...I see it as my work and should be presented however I want. Many will disagree but for me it is no different than any slider you choose to adjust....thank you again for giving me your take, it is appreciated...

As I mentioned earlier, the critique I made was based on viewing your image and imagining how I may tweak it. That doesn't mean the reality will completely match expectations. In this case, it didn't. I agree that the darker reflection draws better attention into the scene but I went forward with my original line of thought as an exercise in experimentation, if for nothing else.

The crop was definitely done to show how a simple omission can change the narrative of a story. That, in itself, is worthy of a lengthy discussion. Hmm... maybe the start of a new thread?

Anyway, I appreciate you indulging an alternative view.

I'm sorta with Duck here, but in the end, can't really make any decision. Either way, its a fantastic image. A little more sky to help balance the image out, but no deal breaker. Nice one, Frank.

Is no one going to mention the sad little one? So adorable.

I like this, and while probably considered sacrilege I might consider cropping this into a landscape. You'll lose those beautiful reflections but I like the story.

And I really like the photobomb but out of curiosity, I thought I'd give a quick edit to give everyone a choice. It's otherwise untouched.

I really like working on your images and hope there's more! S-
