Winter

Postby St3v3M » Mon Sep 18, 2017 2:33 am

Prompted by Matt in Lawn lions

Take ten years ago, "This is Winter for my friend Allison. Stare at him awhile. I dare you! ...he stares back..."

We were on our first date at The Getty Center and were having a great time, but couldn't find a postcard in the museum shop so I ran back, snapped a quick shot of Winter and there we were. It didn't last, but every relationship is worth having! S-

As my kids used to say when they were kids, Gnarly!. I thought he was looking down till I looked more closely and then almost snapped my head back. Yes, he does stare you down. Love the light, shadows, texture, tones, and envy those eyebrows. Matt

Thank you so much. Winter is one of my favorites as he scares me and intrigues me at the same time.

Thank you again for your inspiration! S-

(I prefer to present pictures in albums because I can put them in specific order.)

All the great photographers use cameras! No, really. :|

A good image Steve, I wouldn't mind a bit more drama but there is nothing wrong with this presentation....top right and left corners are darker and you might clone out the stuff lower right.....

Well, he isn't Santa Claus.

He is kinda scary and his gaze with those sort of blank eyes is unsettling. You did well. Capturing displayed art work in a non-documentary way is always challenging.

It's an image that might be fun to play with using textures, to make it even more your own.

Thank you so much! I took this about ten years ago before I really knew anything about anything but maybe that's a good thing! S-

This is almost the original, but I was thinking the same. That and reduce some of the noise. Thank you so much! S-

You know how it works here, my images are your images to work with and I'm always excited to see what you come up with. Enjoy! S-
