A keeper. Adorable little girls. I would crop out the figures at the top. Nicely composed group for a grab shot; the water looks granular, however, almost as if the figures were dropped in from another photo. The face on the nearer girl has more reflected light on it than the other girl's. Nice crisp shot of the eyelashes, lips and nose. It seems you lightened the area behind their profiles a bit, no? Not a problem for me; just noticing. The left shoulder and chest of the nearer girl are dark and fleshy and a bit of a distraction. Overall, I like the photo; just a few picky picky things. Matt

Crop the top. It's not adding to the story. S-

Something like this 4x3 should bring them more into focus, but now I'm curious what you think! S-

I like the original fine. I like the crop as well but not as much. I like the incoming waves at the horizon line in the nicely fuzzy distance. If I had made it I'd probably just clone out the figures. To me the crop begins to make the frame claustrophobic, a little too tight. The light on these kids is amazing, and I know tremendously difficult, but a candid must be shot as is. If you try to reposition your subjects for "better" light you ruin the moment. Play it as it lies!

(I prefer to present pictures in albums because I can put them in specific order.)

All the great photographers use cameras! No, really. :|

I think it's fine, I looked at this crop originally and totally understand your desire for it...for me it looses any context of place, for now I'm leaning in Matt's direction....Of course maybe it doesn't need any sense of place....
