I think you did well to have this shot absolutely sharp. You also really controlled the exposure very nicely. He certainly looks menacing, and I think that was your point. Beautiful.
Erich

Thanks Erich !!! Patience within myself and soft early evening lighting helped in this case.

I don't know how you do what you do, but it's magic. I can't believe the skin on these characters; they must smoke four packs of unfiltered Lucky Strike before lunch.

Thanks Matt !!! I don't know the characteristic habits of my subjects, I just pick and choose them as they are presented to me on the streets.

One of my favorites of your dark-side portraits. Looks authentically period-style in presentation, which multiplies the impact. What I like best: how you made the eyes "connect" with the viewer in spite of being in heavy shadow.

Thanks Minnie !!! As it turns out he is on top of my list of favorites. The authentically period-style is what drew me to him. It was a toss up between him and 'Doolin' Dalton' but I do believe Earp is the winner, IMO.

I like it! Only other thing to do might be to age it, make the paper look like it is ripped from the pages of an old book.

Thanks Piet !!! Ripped paper/pages never came to mind, but I like the idea and may proceed with that.

Thanks Steve !!! Much appreciated and glad this one is loved. I keep wanting to go back for a re-edit of Piet's suggestion, but keep forgetting. Someone told me once, "I forgot to remember to forget" Not sure where that quote falls into place here, just thought I would mention it.
